TIPS FOR SHIFTING TO A NEW HOUSE

Finally you have bid adieu to the place which was your humble abode for so many years. You have so many memories but now you are ready to move on and start a new life and build new memories. Moving to a new home is an exciting and equally tiring job. If you are getting all worked up thinking how you are going to go about it, then just relax. These are 10 tips that will help you get started.

Tip No 1:
Get the house cleaned up: Before moving to a new house, make sure that it is cleaned in all the corner and bends. This will also help settle the smell of the cleaners while you move to the new house. If it is a bought one, take a little more effort to clean it.

Tip No 2:
Furnish it: Think about the situation from when you don’t have even a chair to sit after the tiring shifting schedule? Furnish your rooms first before shifting. This is one of the things to do before shifting to a new house.

Tip No 3:
Check by experts:  When external factors like painting can be assessed by ourselves, some other functional units of the house should be tested by expert hands. Assign some professionals to examine the TV and dish, plumbing and electricity.

Tip No 4:
Change the lock: This is one of the most important things to do before moving to new house if you bought it from someone else. Since you don’t even know who all may have the same key, it is better to get a new lock.

Tip No 5:
Organise storage: One of the most important things to do while moving to a new house is that you have to organise the storage space available wisely. Dump all the unnecessary materials to the trash.

Tip No 6:
Pack your stuff: The most tedious thing associated with shifting is the packing section. But, packing can be done without making it a mess, if you are organised. You can even assign some professional movers for packing.

Tip No 7:
Inform others about the move: Another important point that you should remember is that you should inform your banks or other financial companies. Remember to change your address in the post office and inform other people like your newspaper boy etc.

Tip No 8:
Get some help: If you feel it is difficult to handle the situation, it is better to get some help from others. If you have a baby, you can get the help of some relatives or a babysitter for the shifting day.

Tip No 9
Professional movers: If you have stuff that cannot be moved by your own, book some professional movers. It is better to book them beforehand, so that you will be able to confirm whether they are available on your shifting day.

So these are some important points that should be kept in mind before moving.
